Swimming

I worked out today at a hotel gym near my house which my parents are spending the night in. The gym is really nice and they have a nice pool as well. I ended up running two miles and then swimming for twenty minutes or so.

I made these tonight and they are pretty healthy they include: whole wheat flour, agave, chocolate chips, an egg, dried cranberries,  unsweetened dried coconuts, and other things like baking soda and cinnamon. They are almost vegan aside from the egg and chocolate chips but I think they would be fine without the egg and you could use carob chips if you like. I could post the recipe if anyone is interested.

 

Also add 2 apples and a bag of 100 calorie popcorn to the eats today.

Two down

I just finished two tests! Glad to have those over now I have a lot less stress. I still have three finals next week and a paper to write but I have a lot of time so I’m not too worried about it. This morning I woke up early to study for a bit before my first test and I had some oatmeal with pomegranate seeds yum! I’ve never had pomegranate seeds on oatmeal and I definitely liked it a lot. I still have more seeds left so you may be seeing more of this combo.

Also how do you all eat your oatmeal? I always eat mine from one size of the bowl to the other like this…

I had a short break in between classes so I sat in the garden and had a Luna Tea Cake with my water bottle. I carry this water bottle to every class throughout to day.

After my tests I had lunch with a friend in my school dining hall. I had a salad which included: lettuce, red bell peppers, carrots, cucumber, chick peas, and about a tbsp balsamic dressing.

 

About an hour later I was hungry so I had a Western Alternative Bagel with pumpkin butter and peanut butter and a yoplait light raspberry yogurt with pomegranate seeds.

Desserts

Ugh I just wrote a long post and it got deleted! Anyways I told you I would post some pictures soon. Tonight for dinner I had tofu with vegetables and about 1/4 cup cooked white rice. I also had a small salad with spinach, carrots, cucumber, broccoli, dried cranberries, and a little balsamic dressing. For dessert I had Edy’s Loaded peanut butter cup ice cream with some fall colored dark chocolate M&M’s on top. Also here are some pictures of some Thanksgiving desserts.

Soaked!

This morning I woke up around ten o’clock. Last night I had made a breakfast cookies a la #mce_temp_url#. It didn’t harden up but I did use water not soymilk so that could have been the reason?

After that I decided to just make some oatmeal. This combo had:

-1/2 cup oats, 1% milk, and water

-a banana

-5 blackberries(thats all that were left)

-cinnamon

-walnuts

-a spoonful of stoneyfield farm vanilla yogurt

-some unsweetened coconut

The coconut was good on top!

 

After breakfast I ventured over to whole foods which I found some of the bars I had been looking for as well as some other thing.

For lunch I had a salad which included:

-lettuce

-a whole tomato

-a whole avacado

-1/2 cup black beans

-a huge spoonful of salsa

Baked ziti

November 25, 2008

I met my friend for coffee earlier today. We walked around all afternoon probably 2-3 miles total. After I got home I made baked ziti for dinner. Sory no pic. I had a salad first of mixed greeks, carrots, cucumber, and broccoli with tuscany italian dressing. After dinner I had an apple then a while later I had two Super Charge Me cookies which I baked from Eat, Drink, & Be Vegan and some decaf starbucks chai tea with a splash of 1% milk.

Two o’clock breakfast!

Yes I am eating breakfast and it is now 2 pm! There is the three hour time difference so that is of course why but it’s still pretty late. I woke up around 11:30 and worked out for half an hour in the house. I did lots of crunches, squats, lunges, planks, and some arm weights. Better than nothing right?

 

After I worked out I showed then just had a quick cereal which was Nature’s Path organic flax plus multibran cereal. It is pretty good. I had it with 1/2 a banana on top and some tea for breakfast. I always have coffee but I’m meeting a friend for coffee in a little while so I figured tea was a good choice.

I have plans to meet a friend for coffee and a little shopping. I’m cooking dinner later too. It wasn’t really my choice of what to make but my mom left me stuff to make it. You’ll have to see later!
